Amanda Seyfried has had her fair share of jaw-dropping beauty moments this year, from her Met Gala glam to her cool girl street style. The 37-year-old mom of two has been open about her feelings about cosmetic treatments. While she’s not open to getting anything done just yet, she’s not ruling it out for the future. Until then, Seyfried swears by a $16 product you can find on Amazon.
“I have a ‘1’ on my forehead,” Seyfried admits to Allure. “Everybody knows about it. All of the [photographers] are like, ‘Don’t move your face this way,'” she says. Rather than seeking an in-office fix, Seyfried uses a piece of tape on the wrinkle while she sleeps.
“It’s called Toute Nuit ($16) all night.’ It’s just surgical tape in the shape of a triangle to keep [the wrinkle] relaxed. I use a new one every night. And it doesn’t stick too hard, because I wear this Lancôme Génifique ($60-$255) [serum], to sleep,” says Seyfried. “It’s funny what you learn as you get older and what you begin to fear too. Just call me when you’re 34.”
As for in-office treatments, Seyfried says she’s “suspect of Botox” although most of her friends do it. “I didn’t do drugs, not because I didn’t think they were fascinating. A lot of people with OCD don’t do drugs because they’re afraid of losing control,” explains Seyfried, who links this sentiment to how she feels about needles and cosmetic procedures. She also finds herself wondering what happens to it through the years. “I’m ready, but I’m not that ready,” she says, so she’ll stick to tape for now, which looks like it’s doing the trick.
