Alix Earle is the definition of an internet sensation. After blowing up on TikTok on account of her entertaining and relatable “get ready with me” videos, Earle has become one of the most popular beauty influencers across all social media platforms, with a total of almost 10 million followers between Instagram and TikTok. Not only does the 23-year-old University of Miami graduate use her platform to showcase her makeup and hair routines, she’s also used her fame to speak candidly about her experience with acne and its detrimental effects on her mental health.

Earle has explained on both TikTok and on her podcast, Hot Mess With Alix Earle, that she’s gone on several rounds of Accutane treatment, but still struggles with painful bouts of cystic acne, which have debilitated her mentally especially throughout her schooling. Earle has worked tirelessly to create an open conversation about acne and mental health throughout her career, and now the social media star’s skin-related journey expands as she just became the first ever ambassador for the viral skin-care and pimple-patch brand, Hero Cosmetics.

Alix Earle and Hero Cosmetics: How the Partnership Came to Be

Hero Cosmetics has become wildly popular over the past several years on account of their Mighty Patch pimple patches, which users hold as the gold standard when it comes to pimple patch technology. Despite the brand’s pervasive popularity, they’ve never featured a celebrity ambassador, until now, as Hero Cosmetics just announced that Alix Earle is their first ever global-face.

“I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be the first-ever global face of Hero Cosmetics,” Earle explained on the partnership opportunity. “As someone who has openly struggled with acne since middle school, I know how emotionally frustrating and defeating it can feel when you can’t find a product that works. I was first introduced to Hero a few years ago, and their pimple patches instantly became a part of my daily skin-care routine. I’m so proud to work with a brand like Hero that promotes skin positivity and confidence.”

On the brand side of things, CEO and cofounder of Hero, Ju Rhyu, says that the collaboration between Earle and Hero was the perfect fit. “We admire Alix’s honesty about her acne journey and her skin confidence,” Rhyu explains. “She has been a fan of Hero and has shared our solutions with her audience on her own numerous times. This organic brand love makes Alix the perfect person to be the first-ever face of Hero and we are ecstatic.”
