With summer just around the corner, we NewBeauty editors are already planning how to perfect our sun-kissed (and sun-safe!) glow. Here are the bronzing powders and products we’ll be using to get our golden goddess on all summer long.

I’ve been using Youngblood Mineral Radiance in Sundance for years. Even though I always test out new bronzers, I constantly come back to this one. I love that the compact houses both a bronzer and a highlighter so that I can add the right color just where I need it. $39, amazon.com

I absolutely love bareMinerals Warmth All-Over Face Color. It’s super lightweight and makes my skin look great whether I wear it alone or over other makeup. The best part is that it provides a natural, just-back-from-the-beach glow to my skin! $20, bareescentuals.com

My first cosmetic love was Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder. I’ve been using it for more than a decade. I don’t like concealer or traditional powder because I like my freckles to show through. Dusting this across the bridge of my nose, on the tip of my chin and across my forehead (just like Bobbi Brown the makeup artist taught me all those years ago) gives me a sun-kissed glow that highlights my freckles instead of hiding them. As a Florida native, it’s my favorite trick to look tan even when I haven’t been spending time in the sun. $40, bobbibrowncosmetics.com

I think I’ve been wearing Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder since it first came out, which has to be almost 10 years, if not longer. It gives the most believable, just-got-back-from-vacation color. $28, benefitcosmetics.com

This Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Gel isn’t really a bronzer per se, but rather more of a self-tanner. But, since it’s temporary, it’s a great way to add some color to my face. It smells amazing and gives an instant bronzed glow that can be washed off at the end of the day, so I don’t have to make any commitments. I apply it when I want to add just a hint of color, which makes my skin look really healthy. $14, bodyshop-usa.com

I’ve been using bareMinerals Matte Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for years (I’ve never been a fan of liquid formulas) and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s lightweight and feels so comfortable on my skin without looking too dry or caked on. And, when my skin gets a little oily, especially in the summer, this formula gives me the coverage I need with a matte finish. I buff it onto my skin using a kabuki brush, which evenly covers any signs of discoloration and gives me a natural, “no makeup” look. $28, bareescentuals.com

Perricone MD No Bronzer Bronzer serum is my go-to for a summer glow. It gives a sheer, warm flush of color that’s nearly impossible to overdo, whether you’re applying it to bare skin or blending it with a lotion or foundation. The bronze pigment gives a believable natural satin finish that still allows the natural texture of my skin to show through, never leaving me looking shimmery or with an unnatural sheen. And best of all, it’s packed with SPF 30, so I can enjoy the warm-weather look without worrying about sun damage. $35, perriconemd.com

What I look for in a bronzer is something that adds a subtle warmth to my dark skin without the crazy shimmer. Enter CC+ Matte Bronzer from the IT Cosmetics Radiance Palette. Packed with anti-aging ingredients, this lightweight powder gives my skin just the right amount of color with a matte finish that really keeps the shine away. $38, itcosmetics.com
