In a four-week, double-blinded study, women with compromised skin were given either Burt’s Bees’ Nature-Based Sensitive Regimen or a traditional synthetic routine (brimming with ingredients such as cetyl alcohol and sodium lauryl) to help alleviate exasperation. In both those with rosacea and atopic dermatitis, participants who used the Burt’s Bees routine saw a drastic improvement in skin barrier function and hydration balance—along with reduced redness, and better textural and visual smoothness, radiance and clarity—when compared to those using the synthetic set.
