Everyone always talks about how the snow and super cold weather takes a toll on their complexion. I’m definitely not immune to it, but for me, it’s the change in seasons that does a serious number on the skin on my legs. Too many hot baths, too many days of wearing tights and probably one too many mornings of leaving the house without even the tiniest drop of lotion leaves them dry, itchy and scaly. Sometimes it gets so bad that I wake up in the middle of the night with an indescribable urge to scratch them.

Of course, just being a bit more diligent about my body care might be the first step to mitigating the dry-skin drama. But last week my legs got so bad that nothing—not even the thickest lotions and creams—seemed to be alleviating my problem.
I was in serious need of a miracle-worker when I tried Farmhouse Fresh’s Qunisyberry Botanical Body Oil ($23). I was convinced it was too lightweight to really hydrate (it almost has the consistency of a serum), but the non-greasy formula leaves behind that glowy suppleness dry skin craves, yet manages to soak in right away. It’s also packed with vitamins A and C and hard-working, moisture-retaining ingredients like soybean, jojoba, sunflower, grape seed and olive fruit oils—plus the always-hydrating superstars of shea butter and cocoa seed butter. Bottom line: It works, quickly, while leaving behind a fresh-fruit scent that sticks around all-day.
