We always knew Kate Middleton was a looker. After all, you don’t go around marrying the future King of England without having a certain X factor about you. Often praised for her natural and effortless beauty, we know that she doesn’t roll out of bed looking like the beauty goddess she is without a little help. So how much does it cost to snag a prince (at least with your looks)? ABC News recently reported on Kate’s beauty budget.
First, let’s talk about that hair. Kate’s luscious locks definitely don’t come cheap. She reportedly visits her favorite salon three times a week for blowouts that cost about $75 a pop. That comes out to $11,700 per year. And then if you add in the cost of cuts and color, her hair costs a grand total of $18,000.
Now, on to her face. While Duchess Kate prefers a natural look, it does add up. If she were to purchase concealer, tinted foundation, blush, mascara, lip gloss, eyeliner, moisturizer, eye shadow and lipstick three times per year, that would add up to $1,200. If you add up the products she favors from Swiss skin-care brand Karin Herzog, and a monthly Bee Sting Facial that she reportedly enjoys with her mother-in-law, Camilla Parker-Bowles, her skin-care regimen costs about $3,120 every year.
Other expenses include mani-pedis for $3,500 per year and spray tans for $2,800 per year. And of course, who could forget that gorgeous smile? Her dental bill reportedly comes out to about $7,157 per year.
So now that we’re done dissecting Kate’s beauty routine, get ready for the total (drum roll please). The Duchess’ beauty bill comes out to about $36,300 per year! While that may seem like a hefty sum, let’s remember part of her job is to be a figurehead of the Royal Family. But in the end, being married to Prince William is priceless.
