When we want to unwind, a nice long shower is certainly in order. And if you’re anything like us, you’ve been looking for a way to up the spa vibe and get the most out of your me-time. Enter shower tablets, a sort of bath-bomb-without-the-bath that’s focused on releasing comforting, renewing and even sinus-clearing scents.
What’s in the tablets?
Just like bath bombs, a shower tablet does its magic using simple baking soda.
You want to place it in your shower where it’ll get wet, but not directly in the stream of water. As the warm water makes contact, the sodium bicarbonate dissolves, releasing the essential oils and creating a vapor of aromatherapy. Unlike bath bombs, though, shower tablets are not made to come into direct contact with your skin.
These relaxing products are often packed with essential oil goodness, like lavender for calm, or peppermint and eucalyptus for congestion.
