When it comes to celebrity nail icons, truly no one is doing it like Cynthia Erivo. Throughout the Wicked press tour and well before and after, Erivo’s nails have proved an integral part of her biggest looks, turning nail designs into works of art and structural genius. Coming off of Wicked premiere week, Erivo and her artistic nails are taking no breaks as the singer prepares to take to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade stage tomorrow and we got a sneak peek at her holiday set for the day courtesy of OPI.

Cynthia Erivo’s Festive Thanksgiving Manicure, Revealed

To create Erivo’s intricate nail look for her Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Wicked star leaned on OPI and her trusty nail tech and lifelong friend Shea Osei who “infused a whimsical, enchanted vibe into every detail,” the brand says. Throughout Erivo’s blue and green holiday manicure, several OPI shades peak through, namely the brand’s Oh, For Oz Sake ($12), I’m the Wonderfullest ($12), Fiyero’s My Mani ($12) and Rated Pea-G ($12).

“For this look, Shea and Cynthia drew inspiration from texture, aiming for a 3D, almost sculptural effect on the nails,” the brand explains, “The journey began with the pinky nail on the left hand—and once they were on the same page, the design began to tell its own story: whimsical, enchanted and totally in tune with the magic of the holiday season. To create the 3D elements, Shea used a special gel and nail art brush to swirl and shape the intricate designs. A bit of foil was added to a few nails for extra dimension. And for those who know the magic of Wicked, Elphaba was the perfect muse for this creation!”
