Green tea is one of those scents that’s loved pretty much across the board. Its crisp, clean, fresh notes are a crowd-pleaser. While green tea has been in the background of some of our favorite fragrances over the years, we noticed it coming more center stage in 2024. If you love the cult classic Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray ($49), you should try these luxe green tea fragrances that launched this year for a fresh, modern take on the tea.
Green Tea Fragrances to Try
ARMANI Beauty Thé Yulong Eau de Toilette Edition Limitée ($195)
This best-seller takes the user on a sensory journey through the Yulong Mountains in China. It was created to highlight the contrast of black and green tea extracts to create a scent that’s at once smoky and woody and fresh and citrusy.
Guerlain Cherry Blossom Millésime ($850)
With a limited number of bottles, 4,205 to be exact, this splurge is a collector’s item for the ages. The bottle is almost too beautiful to use and can act as decor for many years to come, but if you do spritz the spray, you’ll be immersed in cherry blossoms, green tea accord, bergamot, lilac, jasmine and white musk. The scent beams with the freshness of a spring, sunkissed morning.
Lancôme Idôle Eau de Toilette ($60)
This energizing scent is fresh from top to bottom. The zest of the vibrant green tea accord is the first note you’ll notice married with rose damascena and bergamot for a lightly floral, citrus moment.
Aesop Virēre ($160)
This verdant fragrance with warm woody notes and bright citrus moments is meant to evoke sunny afternoons sipping tea. It’s an incredible, energizing daily scent to spritz on, especially when you need a bit of a boost.
Massimo Dutti Seaside Infusion ($80)
While this is a more summery scent, we love spraying it when we need a pick-me-up in the middle of colder weather as well since it smells like sunshine. Green tea tickles the senses with notes of bergamot, cardamom, fig and vetiver round out the fragrance.
Kilian Imperial Tea ($290)
This ode to jasmine tea was inspired by Kilian Hennessey’s travels to China. It features green tea accord infused with jasmine sambac absolute and notes of bergamot, vetiver oil, musk jasmine tea and the rare laminaria seaweed, which evokes ocean air.
