Whether you’ve seen the Rocky movies or not, Sylvester Stallone is undoubtedly a recognizable name in one way or another. Not only is Stallone a notably famous name, he’s also a face ingrained in our memories regardless of how we know him. Just this week, the now 76-year-old actor revealed that this drugstore brand is the secret to keeping his iconic face in “good shape.”
We associate Sylvester Stallone with a lot of things—his iconic New York accent, his signature hair to name a few—but we might just have to add skin care to that list. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal this week, Stallone revealed that he’s a bit of a skin-care guru himself. Stallone explained that the practice of skin-care is very important to him and that he “spends a lot of time trying to keep the skin in pretty good shape.”
When it comes to favorite skin-care brands that don’t break the bank, the New York native swears by none other than Nivea. “Nivea is the best,” he begins “The heavy stuff—you can’t go out, you can’t go anywhere, you’re completely white until it sinks in.” Though Stallone swears by this drugstore brand—he even sends some of their products to his daughter during The Family Stallone—the actor also has a higher-end skin-care favorite, too: Biologique Recherche. “That’ll cost you a little bit. I use that a lot,” he says.
