From her tried-and-true recipes and home tips to her intimate friendship with the one and only Snoop Dogg, we’re all familiar with Martha Stewart in one way or another. For years, we’ve all been eager to hear any and all of Stewart’s advice for cooking, gardening and, most recently, skin care too. In a series of Instagram selfies, the businesswoman revealed that these wellness practices are the reason why her skin looks so good.
Sporting a sassy, puckered lip, Stewart posted a selfie with her hair the shampoo bowl of the Frederick Fekkai salon, explaining in the caption that “the light was perfect for a new selfie.” She then confirmed that there was absolutely no “re-imaging” done on this photo, meaning that the snap was 100% natural and filter-free. The now 81-year-old star’s skin is absolutely glowing, largely as a result of the completion of a “mostly dry January” and pilates workouts, she says.
The celeb went on to post another series of selfies, also under the light of Fekkai’s shampoo station, to further explain how she keeps her skin looking so good on the daily. Her typical, humorous but truthful self, Stewart began the caption by saying “my expression was better in the first [selfie] but my skin looks great in all of them.” She went on to explain that her radiant skin is not a result of filters or facelifts, but rather a compilation of having “great derms her whole life, a great diet, great exercise and–did I mention– amazing Mario Badescu facials for the last forty years!” She even specifically gave a shout out to two of her current dermatologists, New York dermatologists Daniel Belkin, MD and Dhaval Bhanusali, MD.
It’s true; Martha Stewart truly does have a recipe for everything, including one for a lifetime of great skin, and it’s as simple as healthy habits and a good ol’ facial now and then.
