Although actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld is usually rocking an iconic smokey eye and porcelain complexion, we got a good look at how she gets her skin prepped and primed before the glam goes on in a recent video with Vogue.
Bare-faced and beautiful, the 23-year-old icon starts her morning routine with a foaming cleanser and moves right on to Kora Organics Noni Glow Sleeping Mask ($48), which she says “has gotten me more compliments about my skin over FaceTime than anything I’ve ever used.” While it’s made for a nighttime slather, it’s ultra-moisturizing formula works at any time of day.
Next up Steinfeld swipes the inexpensive yet undoubtedly effective Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner ($5) all over her face with a cotton pad. In terms of her favorite moisturizer, she says the La Mer Crème De La Mer ($345) is her go-to: “I find that my foundation sits really well over it. Don’t use too much, I feel like a little goes a long way.”
Even after a thick moisturizer, Steinfeld never slips on applying sunscreen. “The number-one beauty tip I’ve received from my mom is to wear sunscreen,” she says. The product she always keeps by her side: Elta MD UV-Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 ($36). “I never leave my house without this. I have this in my bag at all times. It’s so important.”
Now that skin care is complete, the Begin Again star reaches for her makeup bag.
